- Look at the photo with flaps down. Shows that the top is fabric. Still very warm. Would be too hot if there was further lining or cover on the top. Product exactly matches the photos.
- Have worn it to -20C and still warm with sides down. Sides down a must in cold weather.
- As all have said, pay strict attention to the size guide. I measured multiple times and ordered XL. (usually a Large) XL Fit a bit tight but I dry stretched it with a soccer ball overnight and it contracted back to a perfect size. If you're close to the line go up a size as they fit small.

I just got this Russian Style hat to use hunting next year in Iowa. I already had one of the trapper styles but it was a large and was too small once I had something under it, so I ordered this new one in XL. It should work fine. I was there in Iowa hunting in early January 2019 and this hat worked extremely well. It kept my head warm and the sides of my face warm. I hunt when its really cold and windy and at least i don't have to worry about my head being cold! Great product!
I ordered this hat for my 17-year-old son and he loves it! Shipping was very fast. We got the hat in 2 days. Since we are in the middle of Canada Post and everything was delayed, This is a nice change. UPS is the way to go. The hat is well made and looks and feels very warm. We are waiting for the temperature to drop to try out.
The range of sizes is impressive, 5 rather than the usual 2 which means you get a hat that fits well. The quality is excellent in materials and manufacture. Ordering was easy and delivery was faster than I thought possible. Brilliant hat and performance!
Ordering was easy and the guide for the sizes was perfect. The hat really looks nice and feels so warm. I have never used hats on winter before because I don't look that good, but this hat is stylish; I really look good. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the hat has to still pass the test of real cold weather and time. Let's say a year; then I will come back to this review to add a star or to take it away.
This is a Christmas gift, so it hasn't been presented yet, but .when I took it out of the box to look at it, it is BEAUTIFUL! It will be worn by an astronomer during winter viewing, so I hope it is as warm as the other reviewers say.

I got this hat for a Birthday Present ,and i love it , it is very warm and cosy ,which is just what you need here in Scotland at winter time ,i ordered the XL size and it is a very snug fit . This hat was an EXCELLENT 2nd choice for the faux fur Ushanka hat. By far the warmest hat that I have EVER purchased !!! The winds off of Lake Michigan here in Chicago are no match for this hat. Let it blow, let it blow. An excellent hat for the price. Highly recommend this hat!!
I`ve held off on writing this review until the weather here in Edmonton got pretty cold (-20C and colder). I spend enough time outside to be quite impressed...especially with the flaps down because it`s a cold wind that really stings your flesh. Easily the best hatwear I`ve ever owned. Highly recommended to fellow Canadians. Deserves 5 stars. Love it.
This hat was one of my favourite purchases... super warm and comfy and it looks good with a lot of styles, it arrived earlier then it was supposed to so I was even more satisfied, I’m really happy with my hat and next time I know where to buy a hat like this.
Unfortunately the product was a bit to small. Otherwise it was a well made article of wear. I liked it very much so it has been returned and I reordered a size larger.
