I own the sheared beaver cossack and I love it. My expertise in hats is limited to "I look horrible in every hat ever made" ....except this one. My expertise in furs is limited to what I've read online, and what I've read on beaver holds true, on this hat anyways...it's softer than anything else I've ever purchased, and warm.
The salesperson I spoke to regarding the size of my head and what size hat to order surprised in a big way as when I ordered based on what they told me, the hat fits perfectly, and I mean perfect.
I love everything about my experience in dealing with customer service and the quality of this hat, as well as the fit and look.
I ordered with one day shipping and the store did everything they could to make it happen, as did UPS...however, there was a hold for a few hours as it went through Kentucky as the package was sent internationally that eventually caused the shipment an additional day...all things considered, an understandable situation beyond the control of the store and UPS....ultimately, the hat only took two days to get here....which was fast...and it was very much worth the wait....I don't bring up the delay of a day during the shipping as a complaint but rather for information to someone else ordering...don't freak out if there's a minor delay, it's an international shipment that has to be cleared to enter ...order your hat you'll be very happy with it trust me
I purchased the sheared beaver black Cossack hat before coming to Moscow, Russia, where I have spent four months this winter. I think it is perhaps the finest hat I have ever owned, lightweight and yet warm, and the ear flaps are fantastic. Regardless of how cold it gets, this hat is made to take it.
One thing that I would like to say about it though. Russian friends have said Cossack is not the right name for this hat. It is correctly called Pirozhok, and it was a very popular style and even mark of wealth and high status during Soviet times. You don't see them as much nowadays, but nevertheless, I often get compliments about how good it looks.
The most amazing hat, the fur is firm but so soft rich and beautifully soft. I really do not think that there is a fur to match it. Once returned a hat and I once ordered two of the same by mistake. Usually you despair especially over expensive orders. I emailed my mistake regards two of the same and received a reply and a refund immediately. As for the return, fantastic because you just post it as you would a letter. Hence Im back today to purchase another two products. Tom
My hat is super awesome and totally warm. It is cold here in Vienna and the hat is very elegant and goes well with the formal atmosphere here. The color turned out to be quite light, almost grey, but it is even cooler than the brown. The service at Fur Hat World is excellent. I even had to return for exchange/refund and resent, the mailing was super short and customs were only a problem from my fault. They did everything right, even declaring a low value from their side. Excellent work and great craftsmanship. I got my wife the silver fox with the black mink top, and she love it a lot, but my beaver is softer!!! Great work guys, keep it up!
lovely warm hat, perfect. I measured my head and added an inch to be on the safe side and it fits perfectly, would have been tight otherwise!

I have a synthetic version of this previously and wanted a similar style but better quality. This hat is certainly better quality. The fur is extremely soft and dense. The other materials are also of high quality and the hat is well contructed. I highly recommend this hat to everyone, especially those of us who need to shield our balding heads.

The sheared beaver cossack styly hat I ordered is a beautifully soft and elegant hat. The fur is luxurious and surprisingly light but substantial. I wear it as a an every day hat and find it warm and comfortable. I normally do not like to wear a hat of any kind, but I feel comfortable in this one. I generally find American sizing a bit smaller that Canadian sizes and that is true of this product. An xlarge usually fits me a tad losely, but this hat is snug with the earflaps folded up. Whan the plaps are down, the hat sits lower on me head. All considered the fit is good. Although the web site stated that the hat was made to order, it arrived in two days, well packaged and in perfect condition. I had contacted the company prior to ordering to ask for advice on sizing and found them very helpful. This is a great product at a very reasonable price from a fast and helpful vendor. I am completely satisfied.
This hat is replacing a similar hat that we lost in Jerusalem, it's top quality and we couldn't believe how fast we got it. Your service is excellent. We were so relieved to know that we could find another good quality warm, beaver hat. Thanks!
My husband loves his beaver hat. He wears it everywhere now that it is 20something degrees outside. If I had a chance to do it again, I would have bought a large instead of medium - I think it should almost cover his ears instead of sit just above. Nevertheless, he is thrilled and loves it - would not hesitate to use your products again and again.
The hat is super soft and got here in short order. For the price though, I would prefer free shipping. I bought it for my son for Christmas. Hope it fits. Very nice gift and seems to be well made.
