It doesn't often get cold enough here in Houston to wear a fur hat, but when it does and I wear my brown sheared beaver hat, I get constant complimentary comments about it. Everyone who touches it is amazed at the softness and beauty of the beaver hat and wants to know where they can buy one themselves.

I have a large head (62 cm) and was a little apprehensive about whether the 2 XL size would fit, but it does fit perfectly. It is a bit pricy compared to my Ushanka mouton lamb hat, but it does have a more "dressed up" look than the Russian military hat.
I hope we have a colder than normal winter this year in Texas so I can wear it more often.
