Hey, it's just as cold here as it is on the prairie, and there is still too much winter to go through without a good hat. Just bought it in the middle of March and am delighted by it.
The quality is high, the price is fair it fits perfectly and is very comfortable. It replaces a lost hat that I favoured that cost more but isn't as nice as this Mouton Sheepskin and Leather Aviator hat. Delivery was fast too, but I guess I should thank Canada Post for that.
Very skeptical and VERY PLEASED. Just received this hat in the mail, in a timely fashion I must add. Looks EXACTLY like the one in the pictures. High quality product, no exaggerations. The kind of winter hat your grand kids, grand kids will be wearing because it's put together that well. For the first time EVER, I look forward to what mother nature's got in store this winter. BRING IT. I'll be the warmest cool guy in Alberta. Whoooooo!
The hat itself is quite nice. I followed the fitting guide, but when I first got the hat it was way too tight. It has however, relaxed and fits very nicely now. It is warm, very warm; I almost wish there was a vent in the top for when I'm more active. On the downside, the leather is very thin and I often worry about damaging it when I take off the hat. The leather tie straps are just bad design. You'll not be able to tie up (or down) the side flaps while wearing gloves (it is difficult even without gloves). The leather ropes do not hold a knot well. That being said, there is no metal to freeze to your face from a buckle.
My husband loves his Russian hat with the ear flaps. It is very good quality and very warm on these cold windy days. The Lambs fur is very soft and lush and the leather is supple. Overall a great item. Shopping was smooth and easy and shipping so fast. This is the second item we have ordered and was a pleasure doing business. Thanks
