The distressed brown leather isn't greatly distressed but doesn't look like brand new. The cap itself is even nicer in it's construction than I expected. The size adjustment is ample, and the strap conceals itself after adjusting. The cap is lined, and keeps the head warm in freezing temperatures. I don't think anyone would be disappointed by this cap. 5 Out of 5 stars
