This unique Russian hat distinguishes itself from our full fur Russian style with its leather exterior ear flaps. The leather not only adds a unique stylish look when the flaps are down but it also reduces the bulkiness of the hat when the flaps are up. Quilt lined interior for comfort. The Mouton Sheepskin used for this hat is extremely thick and very warm.

Mouton fur refers to lamb hair which has been straightened and thermally set to produce a moisture repellent finish.

I love this hat! I got it just before the latest Nor'easter hit the Northeast. I walk 1.25 from the train station to work on downtown Boston and this hat was awesome at providing warmth. I ordered a large according to the measurements guide and it is a little big with the flaps tied up. However when I put the ear and back flaps down the fit is snug but comfortable. One of the warmest hats I have ever owned! I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking exceptional warmth during the winter months.

The hat is gorgeous and feels good to wear. The problem is that this year we have had very little cold weather and snow so I probably should wait to next year to give you a good review.

The hat is great, super warm and well-made. Bear in mind two things. First, it sits big on the head. Second, the sizing is a bit large. According to my hat size, I should need the large, but the medium fit perfectly.
