Fur fashion blog furinsider.com recently posted an article about anti-fur groups (failed) attempt to convince people not to wear fur.
Though some of the advertisements put out by these groups may seem convincing this informative and interesting article tells us otherwise.
Even though anti-fur groups such as PETA make it seem like fur is irrelevant the fur industry is booming and sales are at an all time high.
With nearly 500 top international designers using fur in their collections, US sales nearing $1.3 billion, and global sales nearing $15 billion, it is clear that fur is still relevant in our culture. And though anti-fur groups may seem to find some…er…”stars” for their campaigns, the most well-known celebrities of our time are actively wearing fur fashion.
This article sheds a light on anti-fur campaigns and proves that organizations such as PETA are not all they’re cracked up to be. To read the full article click here!

Kim Kardashian is a worldwide fashion icon. With various projects on the go including a clothing line with her sisters at Sears, a makeup line and several books, Kim never loses sight of her love for style.
Kim’s younger sister, Khloe, posed nude in a campaign for PETA but that hasn’t stopped Kim from wearing all her gorgeous furs.
Kim has many posts on her personal blog of her wearing fur, including this stunning full fur hat that she used in an impromtu photoshoot with her good friend Joyce Bonelli.
Kim enjoys fur in both casual and formal settings. Here she is photographed shopping in a stylish fur vest, paired with jeans and a long sleeve tee, this is an ideal combination for a day out and about.
Below we see the new mom taking a fabulous selfie looking completely glam in a fur collar, proving once again that fur is extremely versatile and can be worn both during the day and at night.
Kim K. is a fashionista at its finest and if there is one thing we can learn from her it is to be yourself and wear what you want no matter what other people say. When interviewed on the TODAY show Kim spoke about her views on wearing fur and told Ann Curry, “I believe everyone has the choice of what they want […] It’s not illegal to buy fur,” she explained. “I think it’s a personal choice.” Regardless of her sister’s PETA campaign or the fact that she got flour bombed by an activist she still continues to enjoy the glamour and luxury of fur and for that we salute her in our style spotlight!

Earlier this week Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen celebrated their 27th birthday so we decided to take the opportunity to applaud their choice to wear fur loud and proud!
The famous twins looked absolutely glamorous sitting front row at the Jenni Kayne show in New York, both rocking fur in their own unique way.
Mary-Kate Olsen accentuates her emerald green coat with a stylish fur collar and ties her whole outfit together with a fabulous fur handbag. Both the fur collar and hangbag were the accessories of the season this year and Mary-Kate looks stunning wearing both pieces in the same outfit.
How divalicious does Ashley look in this lavish coat? This is glamour at its finest!
Here, Ashley wears a green fur shawl for an elegant event. This shawl is the perfect mix of tradition and trendy, it is simply magnificent.
Finally, my favorite picture of the Olsen’s in fur was for a photo shoot they did for photographer, Terry Richardson. The twins look absolutely stunning, with minimal hair and makeup, letting their fur provide them with the glamour they want.
We look forward to see what the future holds for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen with their fur style, we are confident it will be nothing short of fabulous!

One of the many reasons why fur is so appealing is because it looks good and works on people at any age. Women in their 50’s can wear fur just as easily as a woman in her 20’s. Style changes and evolves with age but if a woman can figure out what types of fur trends suit her best then she will undoubtedly look amazing and fabulous.
Fur fashion blog furinsider.com recently highlighted fur trends for every age group and provided helpful hints on fur trends perfect for every age category.
Here is some of furinsider.com’s insights on fur fashion for every age,
Usually in 20s you are more adventurous with fashion which makes you unafraid of experimenting with color and silhouettes.
This age group focuses on the fun and trendy with celebrities often seen mixing fur and other bold fashion trends for an edgy look.
Your 30s are the time to be even more glamorous and daring while experimenting with your own personal style and new found confidence.
Women in their 40s can be just as sexy and stylish as their younger counterparts by mixing classics with modern chic looks and even a bit of sexy styling. The result is often sophisticated looks that have an air of maturity and comfort.
Nothing is sexier than a woman who shows her own personal style with confidence. Many women feel as if they can’t be as stylish as they were in their younger years, but as we know, age is no barrier to style.

It is not uncommon to see fur fashion in Hollywood movies and the latest film to incorporate fur in to their wardrobe is “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.” This film is the sequal to comedian Will Ferrell’s film “Anchorman:The Legend of Ron Burgundy” which follows California news anchor Ron Burgundy. The first film was a major hit and is a definite fan favorite when it comes to comedies.
As production continues on the film photo’s have begun to surface, giving fans a small glimpse of what they can expect in the Anchorman sequal. This week a photo emerged of lead actor Will Ferrell and supporting actress Christina Applegate strolling arm in arm wearing 70’s inspired jackets with fur trim.
This look was extremely popular in the 1970’s and it is a perfect example of how fashion simply reinvents itself, taking a look that was big in the 70’s and making it stylish again today. One of the top fashion trends this past season was fur collars, this proves that the fashion world recycles and updates certain trends to give us the modern and magnificent pieces we enjoy today.

Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton attended the wedding of professional polo player Mark Tomlinson and Laura Bechtolsheimer this week with Prince William and Harry.
William was an usher at the wedding so his younger brother Harry was Kate’s escort for the day.
Kate, who is expecting to give birth in July, wore a printed MaxMara Studio dress under an elegant cream colored coat with a Lock and Company Pillbox hat. The accessory that caught our eye right away was of course her chic fur collar similar to our Black Fox Large Detachable Collar or our Black Fox Fur Headband that doubles as a collar. This collar instantly adds a touch of glamor to Kate’s neutral and classy outfit.
There is no denying that Kate Middleton always gets it right when it comes to fashion, she can do no wrong!
