I live in MN, and this hat works real well when you are behind a snowblower, But the temp has to be very low, otherwise your head will sweat, looks very good at any social gathering, I would say buy this hat if you want to keep your head warm. Out of 5 stars

The hat is well made and very warm. But the earflaps reduce the size enough to make a difference -- for me it's a perfect fit (2X, 7 3/4)) with the flaps extended, but a little tight when they're folded in. Going to try to stretch it a bit. Out of 5 stars
